Historical Research
IFACS has the documentary and technological resources to be able to undertake art-historical research regarding any paintings being treated. Such research provides contextual information and supplements knowledge, which is critical when considering the appropriate treatment procedure for an individual artwork. It may also contribute to both the aesthetic and material value of the work, and IFACS has the facilities to source historic data on artists and the movement of pieces of art.
